A whimsical vintage floral headpiece from the 1950s. This lightweight fascinator perches on top of the head and can be secured with a few pins.
The flowers are velveteen fabric in an ombré blend of blues and pale green. This fascinator has a few blue beaded feathers which bounce around a bit. The flowers and feathers are on wire stems and can be adjusted to add more (or less) drama. The blue veil may be worn over the eyes or gathered up closer to the flowers if desired.
Designed by John Pico Harberger (“Mr. John”), a society hat designer with his own label from 1948 through 1970. Fabric label reads " Mr. John Caprice New York Paris".
Size: the floral grouping is approximately 8” x 7”
Very good vintage condition with a few small opening in netting (barely visible when worn, see photo)
