Antique late 19th c. German enamel painting on a porcelain plaque. It features a glazed enamel rendering of “At the Fountain” by Gaston Casimir Saint-Pierre (1833-1916). Finely-painted gold detail can be seen on the bodice, skirt, bracelets, and jug. Markings include “Source Charmeuse” Nach G.C. Saintpierre written in script on the back of plaque along with a paper label reading “CB107F/494”. Unsigned.
Porcelain plaque is in excellent vintage condition.
The outer frame is brushed antique gold (framed at a later date than the art), the inner frame is pale gold velvet with some nap loss.
