Vintage 1960s mod rare flip-up sunglasses. These narrow-profile green lenses are framed in silver. The flip-up green lens is attached to the frame with two metal hinges. The temple tips are molded into a tinted translucent fishtail shape. The glasses are marked “KK PAT NO 27105”.
The sunglasses fold up compactly into a 2-piece blue swirled plastic case. The case has a felt piece on the inside, a metal “push” button to open and a metal clip for attachment. The case is marked “D.PAT. No. 132011 K.K. SPECTACLE CO, MADE IN JAPAN”.
John Lennon wore the same style glasses while filming the Penny Lane video.
Very good vintage condition, metal shows some signs of oxidation/wear, very slight warp in the flip-up lens
