This 1920s vintage mesh bag is in a delicate baby-fine metal mesh which is material-like to the touch. The Dresden enamel bag is painted with an abstract design. The bag was made by Whiting Davis (founded in 1892) known for designing the first mesh bag and is still in business today. The frame is embossed gold metal with the Whiting & Davis stamp inside. A delicate fringe of metal mesh embellishes the bottom. The bag comes with a small 3/4” gold tone bevel edge mirror. with
In very good vintage condition with some stains inside the intact silk lining. The mirror shows some wear.
