A charming pair of vintage 1930-1940s bronze-plated bookends by McClelland Barclay. The bookends depict a vignette of a solo mushroom sheltering a small frog and two smaller mushrooms.

McClelland Barclay (1891-1943) was an American illustrator, jewelry designer, and sculptor. Barclay designed and fabricated jewelry and home and office articles under his company McClelland Barclay Art Products Corporation.
