A stunning vintage 1980s heavily beaded formal gown. Flattering cape-sleeves are supported by large shoulder pads. The gown has a tear-drop shape opening and a slit at back. The silk is entirely covered with jet black beadwork. The gown features an abstract starburst design that is embellished with silver, black, and geometric iridescent beads and sequins. The starbursts wrap from front to back and drape over one shoulder.
Designed by Judy Eigen of Judith Ann Creations, one of the first high-end women fashions lines imported from India. Eigen formed all-women teams for the finishing of her clothing, which was unheard of during that time.
The shell is 100% pure silk with a black rayon lining. Made in India.
Although this is labeled a medium, please check your measurements against the ones listed below for a proper fit (see size chart at bottom of page). This fabric has a little bit of stretch to it.
